Nominations for Management Committee
President – (1 nomination)
David Parker – Have played and coached at Palm Beach Touch for over 20 years, I helped start Palm Beach Juniors 14 Years ago. I have been on the committee for the last 6 years and a life member for the club.
Treasurer – (1 nomination)
Kylie Bellingham – Palm Beach Touch has been a huge part of my life, having played here for over 35 years. I’ve been privileged to serve on the committee for more than 14 years and to contribute to the club in many ways, from running Friday night BBQs and coaching junior social and representative teams to helping develop our senior women’s competition, Super Series, and representative programs. Although I don’t have children, I have always been passionate about creating opportunities for others and giving back to a club that has given me so much. I sincerely believe my experience across both junior and senior areas of the sport brings a balanced perspective to the committee and helps ensure decisions are made in the best interests of the entire Palm Beach Touch community.
Secretary – (2 nominations)
Simone Hepburn – Across 40 years playing touch, I’ve built a reputation as a fair, respectful player and an active contributor. For the past 13 years I’ve been a devoted PBT member with five years volunteering on the committee. I bring broad club knowledge, understanding of the game and networks. My professional background as a Physiotherapist and Lecturer at Bond University reflects my strong organisational and communication skills.
Previously, I’ve also supported the club through refereeing, organising fundraisers and facilitating 3 Women in Touch programs. I’ve submitted six QTF award nominations (with three state winners). For QTF, I have previously worked as a development officer in schools, event marshal and volunteer selector and commentator. I have coached PBT junior rep teams for the past six years – electing for B & C teams, strengthening development pathways and introducing PBT’s first C-team in 2022. Touch is in my blood! My father, Paul Eggers, helped build the game locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally and I’m passionate about continuing his legacy, especially for women in our game.
James Davidson – Palm Beach Touch has been my local touch community for many years, and I’ve been a member and junior coach since 2017. Through coaching, volunteering and being involved with families across the club, I’ve developed a strong passion for helping create positive experiences for our players and ensuring they continue to grow and succeed.
Professionally, I bring strong organisational, communication and administrative skills, along with experience working in leadership roles where accountability and teamwork are essential. I believe the Secretary role is about keeping the club organised, supporting good governance and ensuring members are kept informed.
I care about the future of Palm Beach Touch and would be honoured to give back to the club by serving as Secretary and helping build a strong and positive future for all members.
General Committee x 2 – (4 nominations)
Simone Hepburn – Preference Secretary
Scott Clark – With over 25 years’ experience leading professional sporting organisations across football operations, executive management and corporate governance, I’m also a member and social player for over 20 years at Palm Beach Touch. I can see value in assisting the club in establishing strong governance and structural reform. Extensive expertise in strategic planning, high-performance sport, commercial operations, stakeholder engagement from grassroots to executive level, organisational leadership within elite rugby league and overseeing development pathways. Recognised for negotiating significant national and international agreements, delivering major sporting events, and creating high-performing environments that consistently achieve success on and off the field. Widely respected for balancing strategic leadership with operational excellence while ensuring compliance, financial sustainability and performance outcomes. My career has included senior roles with the Gold Coast Titans, Redcliffe Dolphins, Burleigh Bears and Tonga National Rugby League, where I have led high-performing organisations, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, negotiated major partnerships and worked collaboratively with boards, governing bodies and community stakeholders.
Rebecca Herbert – I have over 12 years of experience working in the sporting industry, with a strong background in sports administration, governance, club development, and event management. I worked as a Club Development Officer for four years, supporting clubs with governance, strategic planning, volunteer management, and operational processes. I have also held a secretarial role on a regional tennis committee, where I coordinated meetings, prepared agendas and minutes, and maintained committee records. As a member of this Touch Football club for over 10 years, I have developed a strong understanding of the club, its members, and its values. Through both playing and working in touch football, I understand the importance of effective governance and administration in supporting a successful club. I am organised, reliable, and committed to contributing my experience and skills to help the club continue to grow and succeed.
Christopher Ferguson – I’m seeking election to the Palm Beach Touch Board because I care deeply about the future of our club. Palm Beach Touch is more than a sporting club – its a community where players, families, coaches, referees and volunteers come together through a shared love of the game. I believe our club should always be governed in the best interests of its members. I have been involved in touch football since 1987 as a player, coach, referee and volunteer, proudly representing Australia, Queensland and regional teams throughout my career. Today, I coach players from grassroots through to representative level and founded the South Queensland Touch Academy to help develop our next generation of athletes. Professionally, I bring more than 30 years’ experience in advertising, marketing and creative leadership. I am a strategic and lateral thinker who values collaboration, open communication and bringing people together. My vision is to help build a strong club culture, create clear pathways for our young players over the next five years, and unite everyone behind one goal – making Palm Beach Touch a club that we are all proud to belong to.
